The Academic Excellence (ACE) Program is seeking to hire four new Integration Learning Skills Advisors. Under the general direction of the ACE Program Director, the ACE Integration Learning Skills Advisor (LSA) works with STEM faculty and graduate student teaching assistants (TAs) to design and facilitate active learning curriculum for secondary discussion sections in STEM courses. As a member of the teaching team for select STEM courses, the Learning Skills Advisor uses backward design and other evidence-based inclusive pedagogy techniques to create interactive, collaborative active learning sections that engage students in high-level problem solving and critical thinking skills while also providing opportunities for community building, recognition of STEM practices, and sense of belonging for students.
