Hello PBSci Community,
Please join me in welcoming Haylee Kim, our new Administrative & Work Order Desk Specialist in PBSci Facilities. Haylee is starting her third week with us and is supporting our team with a wide scope of day-to day activities, including maintaining the daily work-order desk and keys office operations, disseminating various Divisional communications, assisting with maintaining/updating our Toolkit content, as well as moves & project support.
Her background, education, and broad range of experience are proving to be a great fit for our team and the important role she will play for our unit.
Here are some highlights…
Haylee has roots with the University of California, earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychological & Brain Sciences and Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics from UC Santa Barbara — with Honors.
Haylee was also actively involved as a Support Coordinator, and held an executive Board seat on UCSB’s chapter of Lean On Me, a national nonprofit organization that provides anonymous student-to-student peer support in Universities across the country. Fun Fact: UCSB was the first to adopt a chapter of Lean On Me––originally founded at MIT––in the University of California system.
Her previous work experience include a role as a Behavioral Interventionist at a reputable California care clinic facility, and as an Administrative Specialist & Accounting Lead with a major online retailer.
Haylee recently relocated from Santa Barbara to the Santa Cruz area, where she is happily scouting the many places in the region to enjoy nature, hiking & camping, and exploring the forest. She also enjoys the beach and coastline, hailing originally from San Luis Obispo, where she grew up.
I know Haylee will be a great addition, and a valued contributor to both the Division and the greater Campus Community. You can find her in PSB 218, and reach her on the PBSci WO Desk direct line @ 459-3498. Welcome, Haylee!
Sincerely, and on behalf of the entire PBSci Facilities Team–
Jenny Coleman
