SCHEDULED TIMES:
7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
REASON:
To repair a leak in the mechanical room.
IMPACTS:
Industrial and Domestic hot water will not be available during this shutdown. Please plan research and activities accordingly.
Industrial Hot Water (IHW)
– All Lab faucets and fume hoods
– All Chilled water systems
– All DI water systems
Domestic Hot Water (DHW)
– All restrooms
– All commuter showers
– All emergency eyewash/showers
– All drinking fountains
– All kitchenettes

NOTE about handwashing concerns:
Hand washing is an important part of reducing the risk and spread of disease – please note that water temperature has little or no effect on transient or resident bacterial reduction. Hot water for hand washing has not been proven to remove germs better than cold water.
