UTILITY TO BE SHUT DOWN:
Hot Water – Heating and Domestic
SCHEDULED DATE(S):
Tuesday, September 30 (add this to your calendar)
SCHEDULED TIME:
7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
REASON:
Hot water will be shut down to accommodate piping work at the Fackler Cogeneration Building.
IMPACTS:
During this shutdown, there will be no building hot water (including heating, domestic, and industrial) for all buildings on Science Hill. All systems that rely on heat supplied by the central heat plant will not be functional during this shutdown.
Processed Cooling Water (PCW), the condenser water loop and reliant systems (e.g., chilled water, environmental control rooms), and autoclaves will NOT be impacted by this work.
DETAILS:
The Vivarium tunnel washer and rack washer equipment (which relies on central heating water) will NOT be functional during this shutdown.
