UTILITY THAT WILL BE SHUT DOWN:
Ventilation System for all fume hoods

1:00 PM – 1:30 PM
REASON:
A relay connecting supply and exhaust fans to the fire alarm system is malfunctioning. Emergency shutdown is required for repairs. In its current state, the fans may not shut off in the event of a fire, which would pump smoke into the labs.
IMPACTS:
HVAC and Fume hoods will not function during this shutdown. Please refrain from working with hazardous materials during the shutdown period. **There will be periodic interruptions to building airflow.
DETAILS:
Please remember to close your Fume hood sashes prior to the shutdown and refrain from working with hazardous materials during the shutdown period.
