LOCATION:
Sinsheimer Labs – 212, 212A, 212B, 213, 213A, 214, 214A, & 215.

WORK BEING PERFORMED:
PPDO & Geo H. Wilson Contractors will be continuing the large long term Sins HVAC Controls Project to replace HVAC systems in all South Wing labs, proceeding to labs  212, 212A, 212B, 213, 213A, 214, 214A, 215 next week.
The work being performed for this Shutdown directly supports the ongoing Sinsheimer HVAC & Mechanical Controls Project currently underway in the South Wing Labs.

SCHEDULED DATE(S):
Wednesday, October 29, 2025 to Tuesday, December 23, 2025 (Add this Work Advisory to your calendar)

SCHEDULED TIME:
7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, Daily

IMPACTS:
This construction involves workers accessing the HVAC & Mechanical systems in the ceilings above lab benches, as well as demo work to remove fume hoods. You can expect to see workers present in the building daily, and there will be construction noise, debris removal and dust South Wing corridors. (Noise will pervade throughout the south wing and, in many cases, to other floors of the building.)

Alternate Work Site Accommodations:
Although we do not anticipate significantly disruptive noise levels, PBSci Facilities has some designated “hoteling” office and collaborative spaces that can be reserved on a first come, first serve basis if you should need to work offsite at any point during this work. These spaces are limited and should only be used for short term accommodation.  Please send any requests to pbsciwodesk@ucsc.edu.

Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as this long term project continues over the course of the next 12-14 months.  Please let us know if you have any questions.
