UTILITY THAT WILL BE SHUTDOWN:
Intermittent Shutdowns of Building Ventilation Systems, including Fume Hoods and Exhaust Fans.  Components of the Fire Alarm System will also be tested.
** Note:  Do not use Fume Hoods or Steam Equipment (autoclaves, glass washers, etc.) during this scheduled shutdown.  If you hear a building alarm, respond as you would to a regular fire alarm.

SCHEDULED DATE:
Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (add this to your calendar)

SCHEDULED TIME:
7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

REASON:
Retro-Commissioning and performance testing of the Building’s HVAC system and associated Fire Alarm System components.  

IMPACTS:
HVAC and Fume hoods will not function during this shutdown. Please refrain from working with hazardous materials during the shutdown period. **There will be periodic interruptions to building airflow. 

Components of the Fire Alarm System will be tested, please plan experiments and work accordingly and exercise additional caution when handling flames/flammable items. If you see a fire or smell smoke, call 911 as you normally would.

*During this work, if you do hear an alarm, respond as you would to a regular fire alarm. 

Workers may be seen in and around the building completing this job.

DETAILS:
Please remember to close your Fume hood sashes the evening prior to the shutdown and refrain from working with hazardous materials during the shutdown period.
