SCHEDULED DATES:
Tuesday, March 24 and Wednesday, Mar 25, 2026 in addition to Tuesday, April 7 and Wednesday, April 8, 2026 (add this to your calendar)

SCHEDULED TIME:
7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, daily
*Due to the nature of this campus wide testing, scheduling specific days & times is not possible. Occupants can expect individual elevators to be out of service for 30-90 minutes, depending on the findings and configuration of each. Please use alternate elevators in your building during the testing windows.

REASON:
Annual building code mandated State testing.

IMPACTS/DETAILS:
You may see physical plant alarm technicians and elevator service vendor technicians in your building completing this annual preventative maintenance. Schedule must remain flexible in case repairs are necessary.

This testing will involve simulating a smoke detector trip which will then recall the elevator to its “Safe” location for passenger exit.

Fire Doors in buildings may close intermittently – elevators may be unavailable briefly throughout testing.

*Horns will not sound – if you hear an alarm, respond as you normally would to a regular fire alarm.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
