NHGRI Predoc to Postdoc Transition Award for a Diverse Genomics Workforce (F99/K00) – April 8
Funding for up to 5 years of support (predoc and postdoc stages) so awardees are better positioned to become independent genomics researchers.
Molecular and Cellular Analysis Technologies for Basic and Clinical Cancer Research (R61) – April 22
Funding for exploratory research projects focused on the early-stage development of highly innovative technologies offering novel molecular or cellular analysis capabilities for basic or clinical cancer research.
Toward Translation of Nanotechnology Cancer Interventions (TTNCI) (R01) – May 17
Encourages applications for advanced pre-clinical research, supporting translation of nanotechnology-based cancer diagnostics and therapeutics.
Molecular Imaging of Inflammation in Cancer (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) – June 5
Funding for the development and use of current and emerging molecular imaging methods to gain fundamental insights into cancer inflammation in vivo.

Provides up to $120,900/year for postdoctoral fellows and $75,400/year for Ph.D. and master’s fellows, including indirect costs. Fellowships include up to two years of support.
CDFW Prop 1 Grant Programs – March 4
Watershed Restoration Grant and Delta Water Quality and Ecosystem Restoration Grant Programs fund multi-benefit ecosystem and watershed protection and restoration projects. See solicitation for program priorities and project categories. Awards vary, but total funding of $31M is anticipated.
CDFW Environmental Enhancement Fund – March 30
An enhancement project is a project that acquires habitat for preservation, or improves habitat quality and ecosystem function above baseline conditions. Total amount awarded to all grantees in a single year is typically $250,000.
