Overview
Brain Research Foundation’s (BRF) Seed Grant Program provides start-up funds for new research projects in the field of neuroscience that will likely lead to extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or other outside funding sources. The BRF Seed Grant Program supports new and innovative projects, especially those of junior faculty, who are working in new research directions. BRF Seed Grant awards are not intended to supplement existing grants.
BRF funds research into all areas of the brain, whether cognitive, neurodegenerative, related to learning and development or diseases. Eligible areas of study include molecular and clinical neuroscience as well as studies of neural, sensory, motor, cognitive, behavioral and emotional functioning in health and disease. Overviews of past awards can be found on the BRF website.
