UTILITY TO INSPECTED & TESTED:
Building Fire Sprinkler Systems and Flow Switches

WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
The Plumbing & Fire Alarm Shops will be performing the testing of the building Fire Sprinkler waterflow and tamper switches. The systems will be disarmed for testing and inspection.
*During this work, if you do hear an alarm, respond as you would to a regular fire alarm. 

SCHEDULED DATE(S):
Throughout March 2023

SCHEDULED TIMES:
Daily 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday–Friday)

REASON:
This Planned Maintenance and testing work is part of the required Annual testing of building fire sprinkler systems and is mandated by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Testing is to ensure proper water flow and operational standards of these systems. 

IMPACTS:
– A majority of work will be performed outside of the buildings – hoses may briefly cross walkways or roadways for short periods of time.
– Minimal impacts to building occupants, some work will be performed in stairwells or mechanical rooms, but may occur briefly in common areas as well.
