INDUSTRIAL WATER BACKFLOW SYSTEM 08/16/23 through 8/18/23

UTILITY THAT WILL BE SHUT DOWN:
Industrial Hot & Cold Water Backflow System
SCHEDULED DATE(S):
Wednesday, August 16th through Friday August 18th, 2023
SCHEDULED TIME:
7:00 AM – 11:00 AM Wednesday 8/16/23 – BUILDING WATER SHUTDOWN
7:00 AM Wednesday 8/16/23 to 4:00 PM Friday 8/18/23 – DURATION OF WORK
REASON:
Replace existing system at end-of-life, that serves NS2 & ISB Industrial Hot & Cold Water lines
IMPACTS:
The duration of this work is over 2 days. The WATER SHUTDOWN is estimated at 4 hours in the morning on Wednesday, August 16th.
This shutdown will affect both Industrial Hot Water (IHW) and Industrial Cold Water (ICW) supplies for Natural Sciences AND the Interdisciplinary Sciences Building.
The following building systems will be affected:
1) ICW/IHW to all NS2 lab sink faucets.
2) ICW/IHW to the ISB roof Headhouse and Greenhouses faucets.
3) ICW to ISB Greenhouse’s heating convector circuits.
All other systems supplied by Domestic Cold Water (DCW) will not be affected. (Toilets, kitchen sinks, drinking water faucets)
