10:00 PM on Sunday to 3:30 PM on Friday
REASON:
Semi-annual maintenance of Cogen and Central Heat Plant Systems
IMPACTS:
The Central Cogen Engine that provides back-up power to Science Hill buildings will be SHUT DOWN and offline for maintenance.
***Normal PG&E utility power to campus will not be affected.***
During this off-line period, IF PG&E POWER FAILS and an unplanned outage occurs, the Science Hill buildings that rely on Cogen for back-up power will only have power from their respective building standby generators.
DETAILS:
Heat will still be available from the central heat plant for all but one day during the shutdown while the Cogen is offline
