DETAILS:
Safe Asbestos Abatement Notes:
- This is emergency work that is being done as a result of a water leak in the building last week.
- Several ceiling tiles and some drywall were destroyed by the leak, and needed to be replaced to avoid mold.
- EHS did an assessment of the ceiling tiles and drywall. It was confirmed that asbestos is in the materials.
- There is an approved process in place to safely remove asbestos from a room while the building is occupied. That process is being followed and monitored.
- There will be follow up to confirm that the room/building was not contaminated.
- Due to the nature of the work, we had very little time to get the work advisory out.
