WORK BEING PERFORMED:
Replacement of two air handler units (AHU) and associated exhaust fans, located on the Thimann Labs roof.
SCHEDULED DATES:
Fourth Floor/Roof Work: Monday, June 15 to Friday, June 31, 2026 (add this to your calendar)
– Crane Lift (and related area shutdowns): Tuesday, June 16 (7 AM – 1 PM) and Friday, June 19 (7AM – 3 PM)
SCHEDULED TIMES:
General Work: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, daily
– Crane Lift: 6/16 – 7 AM – 1 PM and 6/19 – 7AM – 3 PM
IMPACTS:
A crane will be used to replace the air handler units on the Thimann Labs roof on 6/16 and 6/19. The crane lift will shut down the Thimann loading dock, Thimann Receiving, and the west part of the building, including the west elevator.
The crane work on 6/15 and 6/19 will require the evacuation of the following spaces: (diagrams of evacuation areas)
- Fourth Floor: west stairwell, 401, 402, 403, 405, 426A, 450, 451, 454, 455, 456, 457, 458, 459, 460, 461, 462 and adjacent sections of hallway
- Third Floor: west stairwell, 323, 325, 326, 327, 329, 330, 331, 333, 334, 334H 335, 336, 337, 339, 341, 343, 344A, 344, 345, 347, 351, 352, 353, 356, 357, 359, 361, 363, 364, 365 and adjacent sections of hallway
- Second Floor: west stairwell, 222, 223, 229, 230, 235, 236, 239, 239A, 249, 249A, 252, 252A, 257, 261, 261A and adjacent sections of hallway
