UTILITY THAT WILL BE SHUT DOWN:
All HVAC/Ventilation Vacuum System — including Fume hoods
**PLEASE ENSURE THAT FUME HOOD SASHES ARE CLOSED
The work requiring this Utility Shutdown directly supports the ongoing Sinsheimer HVAC & Mechanical Controls Project currently underway in the SOUTH Wing Labs.
SCHEDULED DATES:
Tuesday, June 23, 2026 (add this to your calendar)
SCHEDULED TIME:
7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
REASON:
Relocation of central vacuum filter.
IMPACTS:
HVAC (including supply air, exhaust air, fume hoods, and space temperature control)  Vacuum system (including fume hoods) will not function during this shutdown. Please refrain from working with hazardous materials during the shutdown period. **There will be periodic interruptions to building airflow.
*** Use of Steam Equipment (autoclaves, glass washers, etc) while building ventilation systems are down may set-off the building Fire Alarm System, causing a building-wide evacuation.***
DETAILS:
Please remember to close your Fume hood sashes the evening prior to the shutdown and refrain from working with hazardous materials during the shutdown period.
Environmental Control Rooms will continue to operate during this shutdown with no planned interruption to temperature control
