10:00 PM on 8/24 to 5:00 PM on 8/29 8/30
REASON:
Five year turbine engine exchange.
IMPACTS:
The Central Cogen Engine that provides back-up power to Science Hill buildings will be SHUT DOWN and offline.
***Normal PG&E utility power to campus will not be affected.***
During this off-line period, IF PG&E POWER FAILS and an unplanned outage occurs, the Science Hill buildings that rely on Cogen for back-up power will only have power from their respective building standby generators.
Heat will still be available from the central heat plant while the cogen is offline.
